All Things RVA: Antler & Fin
There's a new restaurant in town! Tonight we went to Antler & Fin in downtown Richmond, VA. We were greeted by friendly staff and seated in their quaint dining area. Fresh flowers and a choice of sparkling or still water made for an inviting experience. Our server was lovely and attentive.
We enjoyed amazing dishes served with unique ingredients. For drinks, I tried the Backyard Paradise as my first drink (a combination of coconut milk, pineapple juice, rum and more). Beautiful, with an orchid as garnish. Michael got a citrus gin drink (it was also delicious). Our second round of drinks consisted of a local Harrisonburg beer for Michael, and a vodka with their homemade rhubarb, strawberry, and mint soda---yum!
For dinner I got the cauliflower dish. I can't explain how lovely it tasted. It has two distinct sauces that complimented each other nicely and the roasted cauliflower was cooked perfectly. Michael got the fried quail dish and really enjoyed it! Compliments to the chef! It looks like they will have menu updates frequently---we are excited to go back.
For dessert we got the flourless chocolate cake. The cake had pop rocks, yes, pop rocks on top. It was rich and delicious---perfect to share. It was lovely with the french press coffee we ordered to finish the meal. I highly recommend checking out this restaurant if you are in the Richmond, VA area. Excited to have another amazing restaurant nearby.
The little things: Something else we noticed and loved was their use of individual hand towels in the restroom. It was a special touch that you really don't see these days. It felt luxurious and contributes to less waste. Love!
