Target Beauty Box [October, 2016]
My first ever Target Beauty Box came in the mail today and I wanted to share my thoughts with you all!
First, the products!
- EDEN BodyWorks Peppermint Tea Tree Shampoo (full size $7.79)
- EDEN BodyWorks Peppermint Tea Tree Conditioner (full size $7.79)
- Derma e Hydrating Day Crème (w/hyaluronic acid) (full size $20.99--on sale $14.34)
- wet n wild Pro Line Graphic Marker Eyeliner (full size $3.99)*
- ChapStick Total Hydration Moisture + Tint (full size $4.99)*
- Jergens Wet Skin Moisturizer (full size $6.19)
- Laneige BB Cushion (full size $34)
First, I want mention the product I was most excited about receiving, the Derma e Hydrating Day Crème. I have not used Derma e products before, BUT I am planning to try out items in their range as the products are cruelty free, 100% vegan, and GMO-free. The crème feels really nice, and has a light scent. I'm looking forward to trying this out over the next week to see how it holds up under makeup.
I am really excited about the shampoo and conditioner set. Because we travel quite a bit over weekends, it is really nice to have a few smaller sized items around the house. This Peppermint Tea Tree duo smells SO minty. I could smell it when I opened the box. I will be trying these out on our next weekend getaway. A few other notes about the set---both the shampoo and conditioner received great reviews at Target.com and they are paraben and sulfate free. For $4 (plus shipping) you can get a sample of 6 products at their website.
The other products weren't as exciting to me at first, but I think they will be nice to have. I've used the Jergens Wet Skin Moisturizer, it was in my summer favorites! It's easy to use and I'm looking forward to using that again. The eyeliner looks quite bold, but I will probably give it a try on our next night out.
The ChapStick lip tint (Coral Blush) is interesting---I really do not like the smell. It's almost smells like sweet tarts that have gone off. I did apply it and it went on nicely, the color was a little too dark for a lip tint, but overall I think if you like the color and didn't mind the smell that it could be nice to throw in your handbag. Last, but not least, the Laneige BB Cushion. I am desperately searching for a foundation that I really love so whenever I get a sample of one I definitely give it a go for a few days. Excited to try this one! It's a bit pricey for a 'drug-store' brand, at $34 for the full-size.
As I was finishing writing this post, I noticed that this specific October box is currently sold out. However, this can give a great idea of the kind of things you receive in the beauty boxes, and information about these specific products.
Have you tried any of these products? Or received a different Target Beauty Box? Let me know in the comments.
